Under the leadership of Coach Maurice Ward, Coach Ronald Butler, and Coach Gloria Freeman, the 17-member Hampton High School Crab Mob Girls Wrestling team delivered a dominant season that continues to elevate Hampton girls wrestling to new heights.

The Crab Mob claimed championships at the River City, First Flight, and Queen of the Bay tournaments, and finished fourth at the VHSL Super Regional—proving their strength, depth, and relentless competitive spirit.

Three wrestlers, Sinah White, Natanya Whitaker, and Brianna Thorpe (alternate), will represent Hampton High School at the VHSL State Championship, competing on the biggest stage in Virginia high school wrestling.

“We rose together in practice. We fell together in training. Now we rise together on the biggest stage,” said Hampton High School executive principal Haneef Majied. “Good luck in the state tournament!”

The Crab Mob’s historic season is a testament to hard work, unity, and a championship mindset.
