Baseball Puts Seven on All-NSAC Team; Hayes Named Pitcher of the Year

NEWPORT NEWS - The Apprentice School baseball team was well represented on the New South Athletic Conference All-Conference Team, announced by the league office Monday morning.



Brayden Hayes highlighted the team as the Pitcher of the Year. The freshman is 9-0 with a save as well through 63 innings of work with a 1.89 ERA. He has fanned 72 batters and currently ranks third in the nation in strikeouts and second in wins.

Joining Hayes on the first team is Jaeden Anderson and Jackson Thomas. Seth Harrison, Grant Stratton, Landon Turner and Nate Yeary were each named second team All-Conference honorees.

Additionally, Anderson, Justin Bradshaw, Sean Condon, Baker Green, Aiden Henry, Isaac McCallister, Chase Mytrysak, Stratton, Turner and Jett Winslow were each named to the All-Academic Team.The Builders wrap up the regular season on Friday when they host VPCC for a 12 p.m. doubleheader.
